The Echo Carol

by Adrian Pearson

7 to 11 yrs  -  KS2  -  simple echoing second part  -  (2m 21s)

Download contains:  Piano-vocal score, lyric sheet, mp3 demo & backing tracks

Theme  -  Christmas, nativity, joy

Content  -  Tells about the birth of Jesus and asks 'Will you sing for this boy?'.  A very effective Christmas song for junior choir, which has an echoing two-part chorus that is simple to grasp.  There is modulation into the final chorus, giving the song a beautiful lift. Ideal for Christmas concerts and young choirs.

Lyrics sample -

For a bed in a shed down in Bethlehem

Many, many years ago.

On a heap of hay on a special day

A little baby lay his head.

Noble kings from afar saw a silver star

Give a smile to the town below.

And the shepherds knew what they had to do

When an angel to them said:

Will you sing (Will you sing)

‘He’s the King’? (‘He’s the King’?)

It’s the message we bring this Christmas.

Will you hear? (Will you hear?)

Will you cheer (Will you cheer)

With joy?
