Theme  -  The dangers of boasting, pride, relationships

_______________________________________

Content  -  A simple, jazzy song about how being too boastful gets people into trouble! The verses tell the story of two children who are examples of this, and warn of the dangers that come from acting too big for your boots!  A great song for assembly and PSHE purposes.

Lyrics sample

Pride goes before a fall.

Act too big and you’ll end up small.

Boasting won’t impress at all,

Pride goes before a fall.

Thought himself the best around.

Picked apart all those he met,

And didn’t care who he upset.

When he made mistakes he lied,

And covered up to save his pride.

In the end he got found out,

Then he knew without a doubt…
